Suddenly Normal Psychotherapy, Inc.

Meet Dr. Jeff Kleinberg, virtual therapy practice owner

What to Expect

Hi, I’m Jeff. Welcome to my practice!

I provide a supportive, confidential and nonjudgmental therapeutic space to explore what brought you here. If you’ve never sought out therapy, or even if you have, choosing the right provider can be an ambivalent, anxious task. I’ll ensure that you are seen, heard and validated as an individual regardless of your background.

I’ve worked as a psychotherapist since 2009 with people from various backgrounds and with numerous conditions such as anxiety, avoidance, bipolar disorder, depression, grief and more.

I use a practical, philosophical therapy approach that guides change, teaches skills, and offers you new perspectives and ways in which to grow. We will collaborate together for you to have a more vital, fulfilling and meaningful life, regardless of what may have happened to you or what brings you to therapy in the first place.

New Beginnings

Whether or not you’ve tried therapy before, struggle with a vague sense of dissatisfaction or painful emotions and trauma, I’m here to help. I work with a diverse and inclusive lens with executive and corporate leaders to US veterans, people of race and color to gender and sexual minorities identifying. I can help anyone having difficulties who also has a sincere desire to improve their quality of life.

My therapy approach is as unique as is each person I assist. I use a similar technique with everyone, and at the same time, those techniques aren’t “one-size-fits-all” or scripted.

As you tell me about your life, we will identify that which keeps you stuck, notice unconscious patterns and unproductive actions to offer you long-term relief in spite of life’s circumstances. We’ll work toward new, flexible perspectives, develop your insight and support you through difficult thoughts and emotions.

Training Background

I use an integrative lens and organically incorporate “evidence-based” methods in our work. You can ask for more detail if interested. In a nutshell, my therapy lens includes:

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy (how early life challenges arise today that make wholehearted living an effortful challenge)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • Buddhist Psychology Philosophy
  • Human Systems

I work exclusively with adults (18+) from business and IT executives, college students, active duty and veterans and with people who identify as gender and sexual minorities. I provide therapy to anyone though 98% of my clients are men and discussing men’s issues.

Team Focused

We’ll identify your most important life values, strengths, what’s healthy and works well for you and assess actions, behaviors and patterns that aren’t helpful. You’ll be encouraged through our working together while accessing scientifically valid methods.

Whether your challenges are new, stem from the past, of the modern world or shared throughout human existence, having a therapist can be a source of guidance and support. I look forward to collaborating with you.
